Preparing for Fresher’s week

It’s nearly time to head off to Uni. You’re in for a brilliant time, that’s for sure.

Before you go, here are some top tips to help you make the most of it.

Look after yourself. Try and get some sleep and eat well. The next few weeks are likely to be really full on.

Don’t go too mad. Have fun and be safe – apart from anything, you don’t want to be the one who needs looking after at the end of a night out.

Get the boring things like shopping and admin done now. If you have everything you need and your bank account is opened when you arrive, then you should have much more time for fun things.

Get to know as many people as possible. Although some friendships are formed at the very beginning, it’s always a good idea to meet as many people as you can. Keep an open mind, too.

The more you put in, the more you get out. Yes, it sounds like a terrible cliche, but it’s true. Get involved in societies and sports clubs, even if you are a novice, you’re likely to have a lot of fun and meet new people along the way.

The mantra ‘work hard, play hard’ is definitely one to live by.
